EXPOSED

Glen Canyon Exposed is an extraordinary photographic and film journey through one of America’s most iconic landscapes. This traveling exhibit bridges past and present, celebrating the enduring power of art to document, inspire, and advocate for our natural world. Explore Glen Canyon through two unique perspectives: Tad Nichols’ stunning 1950s images captured before the canyon was flooded by Lake Powell, and Dawn Kish’s contemporary photographs and film documenting the canyon’s dramatic reemergence as lake levels decline. Creating photographs with the same camera that Tad used before the Glen Canyon Dam. What is emerging? What is preserved? What will develop? Glen Canyon’s destiny is still unknown. Check out the exhibit catalog below in a flipbook.

MORE INFO: The traveling exhibit is now showing with our partner Art Intersection at the Gilbert Historic Museum. Check out the article in Arizona Highways Magazine. Also the film, Tad’s Emerging World, that premiered at the Banff International Film Festival.
